Specialist contact lenses

Here at Cheshire Consulting Centre Mr Toleman our Principal Optometrist, has over 30 years of experience in fitting and supplying specialised contact lenses to all ages, both in hospital and in private practice.

Patients include those requiring specialised contact lenses for occupational and sporting needs together with those with keratoconus, corneal grafts or those that require cosmetic lenses due to trauma.

Contact lenses can be used for:

Keratoconus This is where the cornea becomes distorted and adequate correction of the vision with spectacles has become impossible. Contact lenses can be used to provide very satisfactory vision.

Post keratoplasty – Corneal Graft where the cornea has been replaced with new tissue but distortion in the vision persists. Contact lenses can be used to provide a satisfactory visual outcome.

Trauma Following trauma, contact lenses can be used for cosmetic purposes providing concealment of scar tissue and considerable cosmetic enhancement.
